The Attic Crew

Steven Kramer: Has been writing poetry ever since he had a vision/auditory hallucination at age 18 while visiting Speculator, NY. He wrote his first poem that night after downing a 12 pack of beer and falling asleep on a large boulder at the edge of a wilderness lake. Of the occurance he says plainly, "Man, that was a long fucking time ago. There are times I wish it never happened and times I cannot contain my joy that it did." His performance work has been received with accolades and the more than occasional dismissal, the most famous of which, "I know poetry. This is not poetry, it's madness," was transmogrified into the current theme and raison d'etre of themindattic.com and the mind attic press, "Not poetry, madness." Steven lives on the East End of Long Island with his ever tolerant wife, Agnes, their new dog, Angie, and five cats.

Agnes Kramer: A fine poet in her own right, Agnes maintains the electronic facet of themindattic.com, tracks down the lame asses on My Space that hot link our content, handles the editing and production of all mind attic press publications and finds time to keep Steven from driving their lives into a telephone pole, just to see if the airbags in their new car deploy in the 25 seconds the manufacturer promises. During quiet times, Agnes enjoys reading a mountain range worth of fiction, listening to gypsy punk rock and driving Steven crazy quoting lines from Sasha Cohen "I make smell" Borat and Samuel L. "I am sick and tired of these motherfucking snakes in this motherfucking kitchen cabinet," Jackson.

Kim Boston: Late code jammer extraordinaire…Who will always get mention on this sorry site for resurrecting this sorry site from the ash heap…With our best wishes, she’s on an extended sabbatical, rediscovering her painting career…
